Depending on the artistic skills of each Property Masters, the work may include planning, designing and modifying any special hand or set props required by the product. They attend all practice sessions, to see the placement and use of props, and any change in actions affecting props. Property Masters can also discuss the selection of appropriate resources with actors, and advise them on the possible care, maintenance and performance of these and other programs. Prior to the shooting, Property Masters worked closely with program designers, dressmakers, warehouses, and clothing accessories, to provide furniture details and set clothing requirements. Films A few weeks before the filming, and during the filming, Property Masters and resource vendors coordinate the loading, shipping and storage of all materials, and ensure that the dressing equipment is properly stored for use by the clothing team. At the time of shooting the Property Masters ensures that all handmade and heroic resources are available to the characters and resources waiting. They also monitor the continuity of resources during take-off (using standby props), and link the storage of props between shoots or exercise. During the production of the post Property Masters oversees the restitution of all leased resources to their sources, in good condition, and arranges for the safe sale or disposal of any other property.
SKILLS OF PROPERTY MASTER

Property Masters tend to oversee the work of many people, so they should have excellent leadership, management and motivational skills. As heads of departments they have to be able to cope with the pressure, and they are willing to work long and unusual hours to meet difficult times. Practical, practical, planning, planning and time management skills are essential, as are written and oral communication and presentation skills. Good computer skills (Mac and PC) are essential. Property Masters must have strong financial skills, and be able to operate within the budget. They need confidence to communicate effectively with suppliers and manufacturers. Skills in art, editing and research are helpful, and a complete driver's license is essential. The role may involve significant manual labor and may be physically demanding.
