Time management is a necessary skill for other assistant directors because they spend more time on cast and staff coordination to ensure production. They need to have strong communication skills and qualities that will build relationships because people find it easy to contact them but also respect their orders. The second assistant director deals with a lot of people every day, sometimes very big people. Therefore, they must have intensive skills in communication. In particular, seconds must be paid attention to detail to give clear indications of the involvement of several hundred cast-members in film production.
