DEVELOPMET IN FILMS
DEVELOPMENT (Filmmaking) Films
The most first phase of movie making is called development. Development is media industry, television, screenplay, computer programs, group meetings etc. Then other phase in which the ideas for the film are created, then rights to books or novels are bought etc. And screenplay is written.
The growing reliance on feature-film production requires an increased commitment to finance and human resources, displacing the dominance of short films. Effective allocation and utilization of these resources requires planning, resulting in greater focus on the development and pre-operation of a pre-existing American studio system. In the studio era, development and planning were handled by company executives and crafted with two factors: first, the number of films needed to meet the theatrical exhibition requirements and nature, according to estimates made in the form of a distribution head; Second, by the need to make appropriate use of inherent resources such as specific employees, sets and costumes. Top studio executives set the total budget for the year and based on this budget allocated costs for individual motion-picture projects. Films
Once the projects were identified in terms of budget and style, the work of planning individual images began. Projects usually originated with the script division, which was established by 1911 by all major manufacturers. Typically, potential scripts are chosen by readers from current sources, such as novels, plays, radio programs, or existing films. For example, The Wizard of Oz (1939) already exists in all these forms, until it is produced. Because producers rarely bought original screenplays from independent screenwriters for fear of copyright infringement, other films began to come to life as original screenplays in the studio. When certain projects are chosen on their own merits, the most proven success and genres or sequels based on available resources. Examples include Warner Bros.'s 1933 (1933) Musical Gold Digger and Universal Horror franchise entry, Frankenstein Meet the Wolf Man (1943). Some scripts have been commissioned as vehicles for contract stars, a series of original scripts written for Road to Morocco (1942), Bob Hope and Bing Crosby.
Selected scripts are assigned to producers who oversee the development and production process, after being recommended by the script department for potential structures. The process usually begins with a scene that describes the storyline in prose form. It provides more details about the individual scenes after treatment. The screenplay containing the dialogue is further prepared. Finally, the shooting script divided the action into individual shots and provided guidance for staging and camera positioning. Films
The raw material or footages and more other elements for film purpose are recorded during Films shoot.
It involves developing the idea into concept or if you plant to make a film based on any novel, person, event then it involves taking and settling call copyright issues.
Sometime it deals with finance.
In this phase the projects producer select the story which is came from book, play, or Films, true event, original idea etc. After finalized a theme message, the producer works with writer and prepare for synopsis. Then they produce step outline. and breaks the story into paragraph, scenes that focus on dramatic structure. Then the create 30-35 pages description of story. Involves character, moods. This involves little bit dialogue and some direction. Then again producer do work on scriptment when synopsis is produced.
Then its goes to screenwriter for screenplay writing. He take several months to improve dramatization, clarity, structure, dialogue, character, and overall script and style. When producer ask for screenplay which investors, film sets, studios, other interested parties assess through a process called script coverage. A film distributor may be contacted as a early stages for assess the market and potential financial success.
