Unlike our eyes, we cannot close our ears, so it can be argued that hearing is one of our most important senses. We are constantly subject to a large number of different sounds. Some are fun and desirable like speech and music, while others are unwanted and annoying like machines and road noise. But what is sound? How is it produced and how does it travel? And, really, how does the sound sound? Any noise, whatever it may be, is caused by vibration. In other words, about the situation when at rest, by something moving back and forth in a gradual or random way. The source of the noise could be a car engine, a burglar alarm or a bird singing. Whatever it is, some part of it must vibrate to produce sound. In fact, it is easy to detect the vibration of many sources of sound. If you touch your throat while singing or speaking, you may feel the vibration of your vocal cords. Similarly, the hi-fi loudspeaker vibrates loudly, especially when the volume is increased. By lightly touching the speaker cone, you can feel its vibration as a sensation in your fingers. Such vibrations should be heard as sound, through which they can travel from the source of the vibration to the ear. For example, sound travels clearly through water because the swimmer can testify and it also travels exceptionally through metal. However, most of the sounds we hear are transmitted through the air. By vibrating the sound source, the neighboring air molecules are alternately squeezed together and pulled apart. These air molecules push against their neighbors, which they push against their neighbors. Films

Production Sound Mixer |
The production sound mixer or Sound recordist records sound during filming . This person is also responsible for mixing the various sound tracks into the Films composition sound tracks, which is then put or optical stripe Sound mixers are commonly called mixing consoles or audio mixers. It is an electronic device used to combine, balance, and combine various sounds and audio signals, such as microphones, instruments and synthesizers, or pre-recorded audio sources. Adjusted sound signals are then referred to as output, which is then transmitted and amplified using a sound system. The mixer is centrally located where sound signals from different sources are mixed together. Effects and environments can also be combined, EQ and stereo imaging balanced, and then directed to monitor the speakers using the output mixer. Films

Boom Operator Films |
The boom operator is a sound crew member. Who handles the microphone boom, a long pole that holds the microphone near the action but out of frame of camera, allowing the microphone to follow the actors as they ,move while doing action or any other activity while shooting. Boom operators assist production sound mixers on film and television sets and operate the boom microphone, which can be mounted on a long arm or a dolly mount (on a moving platform). If radio or clip microphones are required, boom operators can set them up or place them neatly around the venue or on the cast. Boom operators are responsible for placing microphones so that sound mixers can capture the best quality dialogue and sound effects. If this is done well, saving a lot of money by not re-recording (post-syncing) the conversation at a later stage in film or television production. Boom operators are also responsible for all sound equipment, making sure it is in good working order and making minor repairs where necessary. Boom operators begin work on the first day of major photography, after reading the script several times and learning about their conversations. Sound department members arrive half an hour before the call time so that all sound equipment can be unloaded and set. Films
