What about all the close calls? Most importantly, how can we reduce the chances of these accidents again? As a stunt artist, I have personally testified and been involved in many set-on accidents. Until recently, it was our industry culture that “it’s tough” and most details are often “washed under the rug”. Films The long-term effects of this method are that many pre-stunt performers are in financial difficulties with chronic injuries, chronic cognitive dysfunction and inadequate assistance because the causes of injuries are not well documented.
