Associate Director works to make the Director more efficient. The Associate Director plans a shooting schedule by breaking the script into sections that can be filmed in a single day and in the most efficient order. During filming the A.D manages the set , helps line up shots for the director calls , for quite on set and coordinates the extras. The role of A.D on a film includes tracking daily shoot progress, scheduling all shots, arranges logistics, Preparing daily call sheets, checking cast and crew members and maintaining the order on set. They also having responsibilities of taking care of the health and safety of crew. He handles logistics of running the set during production. Films
1st A.D is liaison between the production manager and the director.
2nd A.D usually works with the cast and crew and handle the paper work including call sheets , actors, time sheets and production report, This person also helps the Associate Director to place extras and control crowd.
All depends upon the movie budget to hire more A.D for production to work smoothly.Films

The continuity person tries to prevent embarrassing gaffer in the final film, such as actor wearing a hat that my disappear in one shot and reappears in another shot. The continuity person logs how many times a scene was shot, how long shot was lasted, Which actors were in the scene , where they were standing and other all details abbot set and cast, like disappearing hat.
